DJI Mavic 2 Crash Coverage Warranty - Know the Fine Print

The new DJI Mavic 2 line, which includes the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom, are equiped with improved Omnidirectional Object Sensing technology. Omnidirectional Object Sensing includes left/right, up/down, and forward/backward obstacle sensing. Sensing for left/right directions is only available in ActiveTrack or Tripod Mode.

It is important to understand the following:

1. The standard DJI Warranty does not cover any loss caused by crashing when flying left or right, even when ActiveTrack or Tripod Mode are activated.

Yuneec Expands H520 Line with RTK Satellite Navigation

Yuneec International has announced that its commercial hexacopter, the H520, will now optionally be available with an RTK (Real Time Kinematic) system from the Swiss company Fixposition.   The H520 RTK will not only be available as a complete system - your existing H520 can also be upgraded to a RTK version, with the same technical features as the complete system!

The H520 RTK will be available in the second quarter of 2019 in different configurations:  as a complete system including the H520 airframe and RTK module, for $3199, and as an upgrade for existing H520 customers for $1699. The H520 RTK GPS ground station will be sold separately for $2399.

New FAA Rule - Effective February 25, 2019
